| The maritime surroundings, industry
and architecture of the docklands areas of Merseyside UK had a strong
influence on my early work and I continue to find inspiration in similar
settings as well as the natural landscape. Colour, tonal value, line
and form in the purest sense and the physical, expressive qualities
of paint itself interest me as much as the subject. I also paint and
draw the human form. Most of my easel paintings
are executed in oils or acrylics, with smaller works on paper produced
in inks, watercolour and gouache.
I usually have some works for sale and accept corporate or private
